Warehouse Associate

Position Summary

A growing distribution and logistics organization is seeking a dependable and detail-oriented Warehouse Associate to support daily warehouse operations. This role is responsible for receiving incoming shipments, verifying inventory, organizing stock, preparing orders, and maintaining a safe and efficient warehouse environment. The ideal candidate is hands-on, organized, and comfortable working in a fast-paced setting.

Key Responsibilities

  • Receive incoming shipments and verify quantities against packing slips and purchase orders.
  • Inspect incoming materials for damage, accuracy, and quality.
  • Unload, sort, label, and properly store inventory within the warehouse.
  • Maintain accurate inventory records and assist with cycle counts and inventory audits.
  • Pick, pack, and prepare orders for shipment.
  • Operate warehouse equipment such as pallet jacks and forklifts (if certified).
  • Organize warehouse locations and maintain cleanliness throughout the facility.
  • Assist with shipping activities, including packaging, labeling, and documentation.
  • Ensure inventory is stored safely and in compliance with company procedures.
  • Report inventory discrepancies, damaged goods, or operational concerns to management.
  • Follow all workplace safety policies and procedures.
  • Support general warehouse operations and other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • 1+ years of warehouse, receiving, shipping, or inventory experience preferred.
  • Ability to lift and move up to 50 pounds regularly.
  • Comfortable standing, walking, bending, and lifting throughout the workday.
  • Basic computer skills and experience with inventory systems are a plus.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Reliable attendance and strong work ethic.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Forklift certification or previous forklift experience.
  • Experience with inventory management systems, ERP systems, or barcode scanners.
  • Previous experience in a distribution, manufacturing, or logistics environment.
